The product

What is Datathesys?

An ecosystem that takes machine data all the way to decisions. Link reads the machines, the Automation Suite (Link, Studio and Operator) turns it into advanced SCADA in the plant, the Cloud Platform brings all plants together over time.

Do I have to buy everything?

No. You can use Link on its own as an acquisition driver, the Suite without the Cloud, or the Cloud plugged into the systems you already have. Start with the piece you need and add the rest when you need it.

What are AgriTech, Building and Industrial?

Industry editions of the Suite: the same base, with ready-made equipment models, KPIs and rules for greenhouses and crops, buildings and HVAC, production and warehouses.

What is the difference between Studio and Operator?

Studio is where you configure the plant: tags, pages, digital twins, rules and alarms. Operator is where you use it: people at work see pages and commands, on a PC, tablet or phone.

Installation and connections

Which machines does it work with?

With PLCs, controllers and meters over Modbus TCP, OPC UA and BACnet/IP, and with IoT devices over MQTT. Machines without these protocols connect through an input module read over Modbus TCP. Link collects and normalises the data from every protocol; Studio and Operator read it from Link. ERP systems talk to Studio's REST API.

Can I connect sensors and IoT devices?

Yes. Link reads devices that speak MQTT or Modbus TCP, and those that send their data to their vendor's cloud, by asking its APIs. The measurements become points like any other: live value, history, alarms and pages. If your vendor is not supported yet, we add it.

Can I use Studio and Operator with another driver?

No: Studio and Operator read data only from Link, which collects it from different PLCs and protocols and makes it uniform. That is why Link is always part of the Automation Suite. The Cloud Platform, on the other hand, can also receive data from other drivers and systems.

What machine does it run on?

On a Windows 10 or 11 Pro PC or server with Hyper-V, or on an Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 LTS server, Intel/AMD or ARM. 4 GB of memory and 15 GB of free disk are enough to start.

Do I need internet?

Not to run: the Suite runs in the plant and keeps going without a connection. Internet is needed to download updates, for remote access and for the Cloud.

How is it updated?

From the browser, in Studio: updates arrive already tested and are applied when you decide.

Can I use Link with my own software?

Yes. Link exposes data through an open API, so it connects easily to the software you use.

Data and security

Where is my data?

In the plant, on the machine running the Suite. It reaches the Cloud only if you switch it on.

Can I see the plant remotely?

Yes: the remote Operator is linked to the plant through a secure connection and shows the same pages, on a computer, tablet or phone.

Who can do what?

Every user has a role: who views, who controls, who configures. Remote access goes through secure connections.

Does the Cloud work with other vendors’ systems?

Yes. The Cloud Platform plugs into the Suite or into other drivers and acquisition systems, for history, machine learning and anomalies.

Trial, licences and support

How much does it cost?

We have no public price list: licences are per plant and the scope is defined on the project. Tell us what you need and we will make you an offer.

Can I try it?

Yes. You ask us for access, install the Suite on one of your machines with our guide and try it with a real or simulated PLC.

Which languages is it available in?

Studio and Operator are in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

I am an integrator: how do we work together?

Through the partner programme: the Suite in your projects, hands-on help on the first one and technical support. The customer relationship stays yours.
