How it connects
FIELDPLANTREMOTE

From the control panel to your phone, without opening up the plant.

The Suite is installed on a machine in the plant network, reads the machines and shows everything in the browser. From outside you only reach it through a secure connection; you add the Cloud when you need it.

The Suite works inside the plant network; it only goes outside through the firewall and secure connections, including to read IoT sensors that send their data to their vendor’s cloud.

Everything runs there.

  • A Windows or Ubuntu machine with Link, Studio and Operator
  • Link reads PLCs, controllers, meters and IoT sensors on the plant network
  • People at work use the browser, on a PC or tablet
  • Works without internet too

Only through the right door.

  • The plant firewall stays closed
  • Remote access goes through a secure connection
  • The remote Operator shows the same pages
  • The Cloud receives data only if you switch it on

Very little, and you know it up front.

  • Windows 10 or 11 Pro with Hyper-V, or Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04
  • At least 4 GB of memory and 15 GB of disk
  • Machines reachable on the network, or an input module
  • A secure connection, if you want remote access
